Privacy policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
This policy covers Byte Match and this website, both made by Lumenfox Pty Ltd, Brisbane, Australia ("we", "us"). The short version: you don't need an account, we don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps, and we never sell data.
What stays on your phone
Your progress (levels, stars, credits, boosters and settings) is saved on your device. It isn't sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.
Anonymous game statistics
To find levels that are too hard and fix bugs, Byte Match can send anonymous game events, for example:
- the app opened, and its version and platform (iOS or Android)
- a level started, won, lost or was quit, with the level number, moves left, time taken and boosters used
- a side game or event was played, and rewards earned
- an in-app purchase was started, completed or cancelled, with the product and price
Each install gets a random ID so we can count returning players. It isn't linked to your name, email, Apple or Google account, contacts, location or advertising ID. We don't record your screen, taps or what you type.
These statistics are processed for us by PostHog, an analytics service whose servers may be outside Australia (including the United States). Like any internet service, it receives your device's IP address when events are sent.
To turn them off: in Byte Match, tap the speaker button and set ANALYTICS: OFF. Nothing more is sent from that device.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details. The store tells the game which item you bought so it can deliver it.
No ads, no tracking
Byte Match has no ads and no advertising or tracking SDKs. We don't use your advertising identifier and don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
Byte Match is a puzzle game anyone can play. We don't ask for names, emails, ages or any other personal information, and the statistics above can't identify a player.
This website
This site has no cookies, analytics or sign-up forms. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and keep them only as long as we need to.
Your choices and questions
You can turn off statistics in the game at any time, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. Because the statistics are anonymous we usually can't link them to you, but if you have a question or want us to try to delete data, email hello@lumenfoxgames.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
